All the praises be to Allâh, the Lord of the ‘Alamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists) and peace and blessing upon the master of the messengers
It's from Allah's favor and grace that He the most High makes for His righteous slaves seasons to get extra good deeds. From those seasons, the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.
🌟Its virtue:
It’s mentioned in Quran and Sunnah many of its virtues, some of them:
🍁🍂🍃
1- Allah the most High said: {By the dawn * And [by] ten nights (i.e. the first ten days of the month of Dhul-Hijjah} [Al-Fajr 1,2]
Ibn Katheer –may Allah have mecry upon him-said: it means the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah,
🍁🍂🍃
2- Ibn Abbas (may Allah be please with him and his father) narrated:
The Prophet (peace and mercy be upon him) said: "No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul Hijja)." Then some companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Not even Jihad?" He replied, "Not even Jihad, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for Allah's sake) and does not return with any of those things." (narrated by al-Bukhari)
🍁🍂🍃
3- Allah the most High said {and mention the Name of Allâh on appointed days} [Al-Hajj:28]
Ibn Abbas and Ibn Katheer said: it means the (ten days ).
🍁🍂🍃
4- It was narrated by ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Prophet (peace and mercy be upon him) said: “There are no days on which good deeds are greater or more beloved to Allah than on these ten days, so recite much Tahleel (saying Laa ilaaha ill-Allah), Takbeer (saying Allahu Akbar) and Tahmeed (saying Alhamdu Lillaah).” (narrated by at-Tabarani)
🍁🍂🍃
5- Ibn Jubair -may Allah have mercy on him-, when the ten days commenced, used to exert every unaffordable effort.
🍁🍂🍃
6- Ibn Hajar said in Fat-h Al-Bari, “It seems that the reason of the excellence of the ten days of Thul-Hijjah is that they gather the main acts of worship; namely, prayer, fasting, charity and Hajj. This only happens in the ten days of Thul-Hijjah."

THE DAY OF 'ARAFAT
🔸 What is It ?
It's the 9th day of the Islamic month of Thul-Hijjah. On it pilgrims performing Hajj stop at 'Arafah and make du'aa.
▪The Prophet sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam said:
As for you staying till the evening in Arafah, then Allaah descends to the sky of the dunyaa and He boasts about you to the angels, and says: ‘My slaves have come to Me, disheveled, from every deep valley, hoping for My mercy; so if your sins were equivalent to the amount of sand or the drops of rain or like the foam on the sea I would forgive them. So depart My slaves! Having been forgiven yourselves as well as those for whom you have interceded.’(1)
🔸 What to do ?
It is recommended for those who are not performing Hajj to fast on this day.
▪ It was reported from Abu Qataadah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah, sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, was asked about fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah.
He said, “It expiates (for the sins of) the previous year and of the coming year " (2)
▪ On the authority of ‘Aisha رضي الله عنها who said that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said,
"There is no day in which Allāh sets free more slaves from the Hell-Fire than on the Day of ‘Arafah."
[صحيح مسلم ٣٢٧٥]
🔸What to say ?
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“The best supplication is the supplication of the Day of `Arafah. And the best of what I and the Prophets before me have said is:
‘ Laa ilaaha illallaah, wahdahu laa shareeka lah, lahul-Mulku walahul-hamd, wa huwa ‘alaa kulli shayin qadeer’ .”
(There is nothing that deserves to be worshipped in truth except Allaah, He is Alone and has no partner, to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is All-Powerful over all things )
