The Wisdom Behind Slaughtering According to the Islamic Method
في أحد أركانِ العِلمِ بألمانيا، اجتمعَ جمعٌ من الباحثين في إحدى الجامعات العريقة، لِيُجري اختبارًا عجيبًا على البقر، لا لِيُشبِعوا فضولَهم في العلومِ فقط، بل لِيُقيسوا أمرًا بالغَ الدقة: هل تشعرُ البقرةُ بالألَمِ عند الذَّبْحِ على الطريقة الإسلاميّة؟
In one of the halls of science in Germany, a group of researchers gathered at a prestigious university to conduct a remarkable experiment on cattle. Their goal was not merely scientific curiosity, but to investigate a very delicate question: Does a cow feel pain when slaughtered according to the Islamic method?
اختاروا إحدى البقرات، وأوصلوها بجهازٍ دقيق يُدعى EEG، يَرصُد النشاطَ الكهربيّ في الدماغ. هذا الجهاز يُظهِر نبضاتِ الوعي والألمِ والانفعال، ويكشف ما تخفيه الأجساد من مشاعر لا تُرى.
They selected one cow and connected it to a precise device known as an EEG (Electroencephalogram), which monitors the electrical activity of the brain. This machine records signals related to awareness, pain, and emotional response, revealing what bodies conceal from the human eye.
وبدأت التجربة.
And then the experiment began.
في اللحظاتِ الأولى، وتحديدًا خلال الثلاثِ ثوانٍ الأولى بعد الذبح، ظلَّ مخطط الدماغ ثابتًا بلا اهتزاز، بلا إشارات ألم، وكأنَّ شيئًا لم يحدث.
During the first moments — specifically within the first three seconds after the slaughter — the brainwave recordings remained stable: no violent disturbance, no clear signals of pain, as though nothing distressing had occurred.
ثم تتابعت الثواني، وبين الثانية الثالثة والسادسة، غابت البقرة عن وعيها، ليس بفعل صدمةٍ أو خوف، بل نتيجةٍ طبيعيةٍ لتدفُّق الدم السريع الخارج من جسدها، حتى توقف الدمُ مِن دماغها، ثم توقَّف نهائيًا.
Then the seconds continued to pass. Between the third and sixth second, the cow gradually lost consciousness — not due to shock or terror, but as a natural result of the rapid outflow of blood from the body. Blood flow to the brain ceased, and shortly thereafter, brain activity stopped completely.
بعد ستّ ثوانٍ فقط، بلا ألم، بلا صراع، بلا عذاب.
After only six seconds: no prolonged pain, no violent struggle, no torture.
هذا ليس مشهدًا دراميًّا، ولا رأيًا دينيًّا يُقال بحماسةٍ دون بُرهان، بل نتيجة علمية دقيقة، تَشهدُ الرحمة التي غُرِسَت في تفاصيل شريعتنا.
This is not merely a dramatic story, nor simply a religious opinion spoken with emotion and without evidence. Rather, it reflects scientific observations that point toward the mercy embedded within the details of Islamic law.
الدينُ الذي أمر بالذبح الحلال، هو نفسُه الذي أوصى بالإحسان في كلّ شيء، حتى مع الحيوان.
The religion that commands halal slaughter is the same religion that teaches excellence and kindness in all things — even toward animals.
هو الدينُ الذي يُراعي مشاعر المخلوقات، ويجعل الرحمة مبدأً سابقًا للحُكم، وشُعورًا يسبقُ السكين.
It is the religion that considers the feelings of living creatures, making mercy a principle that comes before judgment, and compassion a feeling that precedes the blade.
فالحمدُ لله على دينٍ رحيمٍ لم يُعذّب روحًا، ولم يُجوِّع قلبًا، بل دعا إلى الإحسان في أدقّ التفاصيل.
So all praise is due to Allah for a merciful religion that does not seek to torment a soul or burden a heart, but instead calls people to mercy and excellence in even the finest details.
وما جعل عليكم في الدِّين من حَرَج… ✨
“And He has not placed upon you in the religion any hardship…” ✨
